Sun & Fun

So this past Thursday I actually had the day off. :)  So my honey, Adam and one of my best friend's Meghann joined me at Sterling State Park to relax.  We swam in the water, well I tried to at least, I'm a horrible swimmer.  The waves were huge due to all the wind.  Then we laid out for a bit followed by hot dogs and smores!!  It was a great day off and I'm hoping to have more of them this summer! :)

In other news this past Wednesday, the 13th, I got a new tattoo!  It's a key, and it's on my left side on my ribcage right underneath my armpit pretty much.  It's small but I love it!!

So lately I've just been frustrated at work.  I bust my butt trying to make the place look nice, tidy, and organized and then in two minutes I turn around and it's like a tornado hit it.  I really hate customers complaining if a store looks a little untidy but yet they are the ones creating the mess and not caring. grrr!

Anyways this week, I have three days off, so it's like a mini vaca, so I'm pretty stoked and so ready for this!  Tomorrow or rather should I say today since it's 3:02am I'm going to be starting to make some new designs.  I miss creating, it's been a minute since I've actually had time to do so.  Hopefully the fashion gods will be on my side and I will create beauty and keep my mind busy.

So this past Tuesday (June 5th) was my 24th birthday and boy did I feel like it was the most grown up one I've had.  


Since last year I was in a neck brace during my birthday I actually wanted to do something this year.  But my plans changed when I found out I had to work on my birthday.  Everyone told me I should have requested it off but I'm not one of those to take off work for silly reasons. 


 So after I got off of work at 5pm, I went to my parent's house where I opened up cards and and got a beautiful maxi dress.  Then I went out to dinner with my parents at a restaurant called Savannah in Trenton, MI.  It was an old house turned restaurant, very beautiful. Felt like I was in the south. I had some salmon, mussels and key lime pie for dessert. 


 Through out the whole day I kept receiving text messages from friends asking what I wanted to do for my birthday.  I finally decided I wanted something mellow.  So I ended up going to a bonfire at my friend Meghann's house with my closet girlfriends and boyfriend, Adam.  Later that night we also played volleyball.  All in all it was a nice birthday but I feel myself growing up.  Not quite sure how to take it.

 I mainly wanted to start this blog to share my life.


 Struggling to get a fashion job or any high paying job so that I can move to NYC. 

To share my fashion life, whether it's my designs, my modeling, or just inspiration for the day.

  And to share my life that struggles with wanting to be the house wife with the one that wants to be a business woman. 

Pretty much this blog is for my life out of college and into the "Real World", unmarried and baby free, and how I'm trying to survive it.
