Gobble Gobble

Thanksgiving was at my parent's home again this year.  It was nice seeing my cousins and some of my other family and also meeting new people that joined us.  The food was great, my mom does an amazing job!  Not sure if I'll ever be able to make gravy like her or our families traditional stuffing. But I hope I will be able to when it's my turn to take over the traditions. At least I got to take over one family tradition and that is our candle centerpieces that are also there to munch on while you wait  for the food :)  It's a grapefruit cut into halves then you put cherries, black olives, and green olives on the halves with tooth picks and a candle in the center of each :)  I'm also happy that Adam was able to join us this year for Thanksgiving.  I'm thankful that I don't have to work tonight and not until noon tomorrow because this is my first Black Friday.  I love shopping and all but I've never gone Black Friday shopping, let alone worked one.  From what Adam and everyone has told me I should be ok since I'm in apparel and most people go after hardline items but I still don't want to get into the middle of anything.

Showing off our industrials :)

Total Randomness (Holes and Ink)

So out of total randomness Adam and I got some new piercings and tattoos this week.  I got my industrial done and a new tat on my wrist.  Adam got his lip pierced to complete his snake bite along with this industrial and tongue pierced.  I was a lil nervous about getting my industrial done since everyone that I've talked to said it hurt but it really wasn't bad.  There was a little pressure and then a pop! lol.  But I love it!  Can't wait for it to be fully healed because I already have some cute industrial jewelry to put in it.  The tattoo I got this time (#10) was actually very meaningful to me.  I got the NEDA (National Eating Disorder Association) symbol on my wrist.  It's a reminder of how far I've come dealing with my anorexia and how much stronger of a person I am today.

Out with the OLD and in with the NEW DO!

So this past Tuesday I finally went to my hair salon and updated my hair style.  I get bored easily and wanted to switch up my hairstyle again.  So I went for more of a scene/punk do this time and Im in love with it! :)

Hair before going to the salon, much needed

After the salon :)

In love with my new do!

Friends and Family

This past weekend my work had a Friends and Family event and decided to have a lil fashion show.  With one night's notice I scrounged up 3 photographers and 4 models to help with the event along with myself modeling!  It was a very laid back and easy event but I had fun.  It was great seeing some old faces as well.:)

Below are some of the actual models at event walking.  Photographs were taken by Vince Hollaway and Lee Cossin.

Who Doesn't Love Clothes

My recent buys from Sears.

So at the Sears I work we only had two extra smalls for this Blue Leopard print Kardashian Kollection dress left and I was super bummed because it's one of my favorites.  I love the high love dress and the print of this one.  Sure it comes in black and a tribal black and white zig zag but I wanted this one!  So I even tried on the extra small and it almost fit in that skimpy kind of way except for the sleeves, they were too small. And after a month while I was recovering my area I spotted it!  A large!  The dress was in my size and I was super excited! The Fashion Gods were looking out for me or someone returned it but I like to thing of the Fashion Gods, lol, So I put it on hold right away and bought it after my shift.  I'm still in love with it and it's super comfy as well as chic!
So I've been finally getting into skinny jeans with the help of the boyfriend who swears my butt looks amazing in them. lol.  So one of my purchases was these red skinny Khole jeans.  The are super comfy the only issue I had with them is that I noticed they ran super small which is weird because all the other Kardashian Kollection items run true.  I had to get two sizes bigger than my normal to get them.  But whatever, I love them anyways!
These blue Kardashian Kollection skinny pants I just bought and wore for the first time this weekend.  They are great because they are comfy yet still look chic with a blouse and a blazer.  They are also on trend right now.

I bought these Kardashian Kollection Blue Suede leggings to go with the Blue Leopard Print Blazer I bought from them a couple weekends ago as seen below together.  And let me tell you they are amazing.  I was worried that I was going to freeze my booty off wearing them this time of year but since they are suede they actually kept me warm and comfortable.  The design on the them is interesting as well.  They have a nice flow.  So glad I bought them before we were sold out! :)

My final buy was these Bongo ballet flats with bow and studs.  I bought them because I need sensible shoes for my job and the high heels of the Kardashian Kollection just simply wont cut it and we haven't received their ballet flats yet at my store.  So I wanted to get a neutral black that could pretty much go with anything since my other flats only go with certain outfits.  I chose these because I didn't want the black flats to be too boring and simply.  The bow and studs give it that extra pizzazz!

Looking forward to my next purchase as always!

Halloween Night

Last night I was invited to go trick or treating with Gracie (Adam's Daughter), Adam, and Jenny (Gracie's mom).  Gracie dressed up this year as Frankie from Monster High and was adorable!  While we were out though I noticed that no one really decorated their houses nor passed out candy.  It made me sad to think that no one really cares anymore.  Everyone was saying that the lower participation this year was because of the cold wet weather.  But HELLO! We live in MI!  It is usually always freezing and wet out during Halloween.  I'm just scared to think that if it keeps up like this that there wont be trick or treating for future kids, which is really depressing.  Kids look forward dressing up as their favorite characters and going around getting candy.  I just don't know how it will be if no one participates in upcoming years.  Either way there will at least be one house decorated for Halloween in the future, MINE! :)  Hope everyone else had a great Halloween!
